About WMExperts
WMExperts was created in November 2006 as a site dedicated to providing news, information, and reviews about Windows Mobile smartphones. We focus primarily on smartphones that are available in the United States.
WMExperts grew out of the vibrant user community TreoCentral. We also feature a store operated under the umbrella organization Smartphone Experts. We sport a (mostly) weekly podcast and can be found daily on Twitter.
Dieter Bohn, Editor-in-Chief, SPE
Dieter Bohn is the the Editor-in-Chief and VP of Communities for Smartphone Experts.
In addition to providing industry-wide commentary, Dieter hosts many of the Smartphone Experts podcasts, including iPhone Live!, PalmCast, and the WMExperts Podcast. He's @backlon on Twitter.
Phil Nickinson, News Editor
Phil spent more than 11 years as a copy editor, page designer and news editor at a daily newspaper in Florida. He still manages time for his wife and daughter, neither of whom want anything to do with Windows Mobile. He loves them anyway. Phil's current weapon of choice: An AT&T Tilt 2. (RIP Moto Q9h.) George Ponder, Reviews Editor
George is the Reviews Editor for WMExperts. When he's not searching for gadgets and software to review, he's working for the local Sheriff's Office. George also is a semi-professional photographer working with local sports leagues and chasing wildlife whenever the opportunity presents itself (shameless plug: coppertopphoto.com). Malatesta, writer
Malatesta has been a part of the Windows Mobile community since 2003, starting with the groundbreaking Dell Axim X5. Since then he has worked his way through various iterations of WinMo (PocketPC 2002, WM2003, WM5, WM6.1), PalmOS and quite few other devices. In late 2007 he joined WMExperts, where he was able to centralize his years of smartphone experience for a single audience.
Malatesta contributes tips, general articles, industry news and an occasional review. He also is co-host/co-curmudgeon on the weekly WMExperts Podcast with Phil.
When not doing any of the above, he is slowly working through a PhD, moonlights as a film projectionist, dabbles in photography, rides a motorcycle and ponders his existence.
