Another great story of why Windows Mobile is the platform of choice can be seen in a New Hampshire based company called Globe Manufacturing. Globe didn’t like Exchange, but loved how Windows Mobile fit into their work flow. Globe was drawn to Windows Mobile like a moth to the light thanks to its “Familiarity, practicality and affordability”.
The addition of the new MDM had them hooked on the Samsung SCH-i70 because they judged it “A good combination of voice and computing features, and a design that is focused on business requirements”. Another reason Globe went with Windows Mobile instead of Blackberry is because of the additional costs and complexities of the BES server and its support. Seems to be a trend of cutting out the middle man that's emerging.
