Ahh the joy of Windows Mobile. The ability to adjust, tweak, and customize has been nothing new to us. In knowing this Asus decided to join the fun. Asus has launched Glide, designed to give Asus Windows Mobile devices a face lift.
Glide looks promising and might bring competition to HTC’s loved TouchFlo. Asus brings in cool new features like an Anytime Launcher. This enables the user to have quick access to favorite contacts, documents, and messages with a swipe of the finger. Other features such as EziPhoto and EziMusic allow you to get the most out of your multimedia. Now you can flip through pictures by swiping your finger or cut a portion of a song and use it as a ring tone.
While we're all happy to know that Windows Mobile is this tweakable, it's a litte bittersweet that it seems to need this sort of tweaking. I personally feel if you have to touch your screen to get things done then were already in a world of problems. Then again, there are finger flickers out there that can’t get enough of it. If Asus just doesn’t cut it for you don’t worry, there are other fish in the sea. Other fish include the PointUI and WMExperts' fave: SPB Mobile Shell.
