As we move closer to the second coming of the HTC Touch Diamond series (that is, the "Pro" aka "Raphael"), some pics and vids are leaking out.

One thing that is becoming clear: the Pro version is quite, ahem, thick.

Sure, the specs say it's the same thickness of the HTC Mogul and Tilt (~18.5mm) and it's actually less wide than those devices...but darn it all, just watch the vid after the jump and ask yourself...are you thin enough? Well are ya?

Interestingly its thinner than the Nokia N95 (21mm).

Haha! I suppose we can't have it all. Given how narrow the Touch Diamond/Pro are, I imagine that it appears thicker when compared to a wider device that happens to be the same thickness. Of course we were already spoiled by the Touch Diamond's thin profile.

Upon close examination, it appears that the base (keyboard/battery) of the Touch Pro are the same thickness as the Diamond's profile. The screen housing on the Pro adds about 8 mm. I suppose that's the sacrifice for a slider (and larger battery).
Yeah, I suppose when you reduce the length and width compared to Tytn II, the depth stands out that much more. All things considered it's still pretty compact although cube-ish.
The reason that it "appears" to be so thick is that it's very blocky. The Tilt has a curvy shell so it looks to be thinner that it actually is. This just looks big and clunky....me still wants one though!
wow its freaking huge. was that the brick the little pig used to build his house with?
yeah i really think it looks good to tell ya the truth.
