It just keeps getting better and better for mobile browsers. First Iris launched its new web kit for their browser and now Skyfire is responding by opening up their Beta with frees download for everyone! Simply sign up and when it asks for a promotion code enter “Michael8” and you will have access to the Skyfire download. You need to hurry because the promotion only lasts from Aug 18th to the 30th. With the addition of Silverlight and the ability to play flash, this could be your one stop shop browser.
I think this is great for fellow Windows Mobile users. I know I don’t use Skyfire all the time but when I need to log into my Mint account or Youtube or any other flash-heavy site, I start up Skyfire and enjoy the web like it should be. Don’t get me wrong that other browsers pretty nice too, but you can only see “Flash not supported” for so long before you find better alternatives. Right now Skyfire is the alternative.

I've been using Skyfire for a while, and it has some wonderful features. It also has a lot of rough edges (has to restart anytime you lose network connection, is slow to start, you can't link to bookmarks externally like in PIE, etc.), and also some serious privacy concerns. Let's hope a new beta comes out soon, as this current beta has been out for quite some time now...
