HTC is launching a new site to promote the HTC Fuze on AT&T called How I Fuze. It's a clever little number that emphasizes how to get around TouchFlo 3D and shows off various other features of the Fuze. Using Flash, you can actually hover your mouse over the Fuze's interface and slide it around like a finger. It's a great way to introduce the Fuze to a wider audience.

As a part of the new site, HTC is actually giving away Fuzes at the site. One a day for 120 days. That, friends, is a lot of Fuzes. Oh, and one winner will get $25,000 in cash, four more will win a $15,000 AmEx card. Zowie.

HTC's largess doesn't end there, though, they've also given WMExperts a Fuze to give away ourselves. Pow. Want to enter here? Here's the deal:

As you know, we're currently in the midst of the Smartphone Round Robin. If you head over to our Updates Page, you'll find six articles as of this writing (and probably one more at CrackBerry.com later this week). So we're sending you on a scavenger hunt. Go and read up on what these non-Windows Mobile users think of the Fuze and find one thing they were frustrated with, then come back here and tell us how you might address that. At heart, the Fuze is one beefy, extensible, and customizable device, so there's virtually no niggle that can't be wiggled into submission. Basically, tell us how you would Fuze.

Get'er done before 8am eastern time on Friday, December 19th. We'll pick a winner at random from all the posts that offer at least a minimal piece of Fuze advice in the comments on this post. The Rules: You can only enter once and you must live in the United States to qualify (it is an AT&T phone after all). You must 18 years or older and not an employee or contractor of Smartphone Experts or HTC to qualify.

I'd love to use a FUZE to hook into a digital projector with the video out function. I could finally dump the laptop and be truly mobile, even when hosting presentations at work or grad school.
The iPhone Blog guys seems to have had a major issue with the screen. I think the Fuze going to a capacitive screen would be the fix for that situation and since not that many people still like doing handwriting recognition (other than Asia) the loss of the Stylus wouldn't be that big a deal (other than Asians).

For me I'd be Fuzing with lots of emailing....and freeware Pocket Uno.
My best piece of advice for using the Fuze is to visit the experts over at xda-developers.com. From removing the bloatware on your new fuze to customizing your radio or touchflo, these guys have done it.
It seems to be overwhelmingly the the lag issues. Removal of the carrier bloatware and probably a custom rom would cure it. I would fuze by watching videos on the vga screen which is not real enjoyable on my tilt, although it is still a very good device.
The iPhone guy was very awkward with TouchFlo. He was really "spazing out". The smooth use of any device has to do with work flow and perhaps practice. Advice #1: if there is an application that you frequently launch, place it on the start menu drop down (settings>personal>menus). As an ATT Tilt user, I once had to send someone and email using someone else's iPhone and man did I spaz! Advice #2: Practice, like anything else.
Yeah, that iPhone guy was a total Moran. How hard is it to use a capacitive touch interface that's running on top of a legacy operating system already taxing the resources of a decent processor on a device that also includes a ginormous keyboard?

If they'd only add *more* AT&T carrier apps, and maybe trial memberships for AOL and Compuserve, and 3 month Norton subscriptions, it would be paradise!

*swoon*
Everyone mentioned at some point having trouble navigating the tabs in TouchFlo3D. I had the same problem with them doing whatever they wanted until I adjusted the screen sensitivity. I was worried that it was going to be too easy to trigger things after applying this tweak, but it works great.

That and other registry tweaks can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413562.
the reviewer was disappointed in the out of the box experience. my advice would be to investigate a custom rom. unlike the iphone, ATT has complete control of the fuze look and feel. so, something like nuerom, or xda would be an interesting experiment. in addition, a fuze loaded with spb mobile shell or the new bell ui would be much better!
It seems like several of the reviewers were having a difficult time with TF3D. My advice: Do a hard reset then a soft reset once you see it start to install the customizations and use the phone without TouchFlo installed. Incredibly quick plus you get back to the Today screen that makes me feel all warm and cozy inside.

i am really hate touch flow on the fuze i used the spb mobile shell on my tilt and never have had issues with the lagging etc of the screen. i am wondering how i can remove the touch screen technology so i can install a real touch screen program that works flawlessly. can anyone help me out here?your comments would be greatly appreciated.

There were a host of things they seems frustrated with - one of which was the "huge clock" - which didn't leave enough room for actual "Today" content. Like anything else in WM this can be tweaked via a new theme.
The AndroidCentral review mentioned that it was hard to know when the phone had registered a touch to the screen. A good app to help with this is TouchResponse (currently version .02.2). This is probably the best haptic type software I've used for WinMo. You can find this software on XDA here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450256
From Android Central: "The AT&T Fuze hardware begins to suffer when you reach the touch screen. Coming from a capacitive screen with the G1, it was really difficult to navigate and maneuver a resistive screen with your finger. Tiny links, scroll bars, contact searching were all difficult tasks for me—it helped when using the stylus, but come on, a stylus in 2008?"

As a very long-time user of Windows Mobile (back to when it was the "Palm-sized PC"), I couldn't agree more about the tiny scroll bars and other interface widgets. I understand that the stylus is there for handwriting recognition, but why would you possibly need that on a Fuze with such a great keyboard? I would look for a way to allow for finger scrolling in ALL applications and perhaps a zooming function for toolbars with smallish interface elements (like the zooming function HTC implements on the Today Screen's status bar, only ubiquitous throughout the device).
The iPhoneBlog review mentioned the lack of room for "Today" style information. This is a valid point until you install the freely available S2U2. Once I had slide 2 unlock installed on my 700wx I was able to keep track of all the notification/upcoming appointment information at a glance even more efficiently than a regular today screen, much less TF3D.
Treo Central had issues with the phone lagging at times. While the best advise would be to HTC to see about beefing up the hardware or tightening up the code, advise for the actual user(s) at Treo Central would be two fold: 1. Make sure to completely exit from the current application's you're in as they can take up additional resources (i.e. use the task manager) and 2. Disable the things you don't want or don't need (such at the Today screen plugins you don't want or background services that update data).

Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot they can do for additional speed but it should be very usable especially if you remove unwanted services.
I can understand what the iPhone reviewer was saying about how Windows Mobile attracts "tinkerers." There are those of us willing to put a fair amount of effort into making something work _exactly_ the way we want it to. I love being able to customize everything, and would be very frustrated by being force to live with the limitations of certain platforms (cut/paste, anyone?) But I can see where there are plenty of people who don't want to work that hard with their phone.

A couple of fixes for the iPhone reviewer:

Making the clock smaller doesn't require any major tweaking. Just flip your finger over the clock and it gets smaller.

He also said something about Opera not running "off AT&T". I'm not sure what he meant by this - Opera works fine with any other connection, like WiFi. It's just the AT&T home screen that won't load.
All the complaints regarding the slowness of winmo can be resolved by either tweaking or disabling TF3D. I personally prefer the tweaking, since I find tf3d very useful and finger-friendly (coming from a startrk, then a treo750). I find a well-tweaked winmo device as snappy as any other phone for single task activities.
Why should anyone be bothered with tweaking? Because that's what winmo is about, at least for now :D

And THAT's how I fuze :D
How would I Fuze? I already Fuze my father owns a Fuze and well I took it for review of my own. First of all its great phone all around. Touch 3D works the way is supposed to work first of all you have to do is click the current icon and than move around to which ever you want to. The iphone guy did not do this he click anywhere in the icons therefor getting different response. YOU HAVE TO CLICK ON THE CURRENT ICON AND THAN MOVE FROM THERE. To flick around pictures, text, email, weather, or contacts all you have to do is flick your thumb fast and softly because the screen is very sensitive and pressing on the screen with pressure while trying to flick something could active or give you a different reposes. When it comes to texting this phone is great on one hand specially if you select compact QWERTY not mention the full physical keyboard. Another cool app is worldcard mobile since my father meets different people I show him how to used this feature and after a few tries he loves it. Well now how would i fuze with my own fuze man i would show my powerpoints at school on my cell instead of my laptop and the gps and wifi thank you. This phone is great all around and my favorite.
Definitely saw a lot of comments on the speed of TF3D. IIRC, I saw a post recently about a new driver or tweak for the Fuze that sped up the 3D experience by 2 orders of magnitude. The iPhone review comment on us being Tinkerers was pretty fair, but with minimal tinkering, I can find a ROM that removes the ATT bloat and improves the Fuze experience quite a bit. Sure I don't get the beauty of the iPhone (and it does look good - they have a good SDK), but I can control my device an awful lot without an undue amount of effort.

Anyway, my main response for this and other HTC WM devices is to check out XDA Developers for just about any complaint/question you have. They've addressed the 3D issue, removed the bloat, and are generally really helpful.
Lag in Touch Flo 3D was mentioned as a minus for the Fuze. You can flash a custom rom at XDA developers to get significant speed boosts. However, if want to stay with the AT&T Rom and still pick up some performance boost, you can try "Diamond TF3D Config." Install and run that, navigate to the "Tweaks" tab and enable "TouchFloPerformance" tweaks #1, #2, #3, and #4 (simply put a check in the checkboxes).
Casey over at Android Central had a noticeable problem with the lag on the Fuse. I think that that would be the largest problem with this phone out of the box from any carrier, even from HTC unlocked themselves. The first thing that needs to be done is to get rid of all of the carrier bloatware and then add MemMaid. After tweaking the settings to use as little memory as possible it's time to you tube and and some video files and put that 640 x 480 VGA screen to good use.
It seems that they need to read the manual to learn how to use Touch Flo 3D. You can't tap the screen like its an iPhone, you need to press down with your finger/thumb whichever you prefer and drag/drop.
One of the biggest gripes with the device in the Android Central review seemed to come down to screen and TF3D sensitivity. I had issues with this as well, and it felt like I was squashing my screen.

Using a reg editor you can not only increase the general sensitivity of the screen, but also how sensitive TF3D is reacting to screen taps.

Screen Sensitivity:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\TouchPanel] change PressureThreshold. Default is 37 Decimal. I've got mine set to 240.

TF3D sensitivity:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings] increase FingerPressure. Default is 16. Higher = more sensitive, lower = less sensitive. I've got mine set to 128.
I know the answer but I'm keeping it out of the USA so there
Spend some time learning which way to swipe on the Touch Flo 3D screens. It will save a lot of aggravation.
after watching the review from iphoneblog... first of all anyone coming from an iphone to a fuze or any windows mobile device is obviously going to have a hard time with the device. they shouldn't pound on a device because they are not used to it... spend some time on the touch flo 3d. you will enjoy once you get teh hang of it. as he was on the pictures menu, he doesn't have to be a button smasher, all he has to do is press once on the screen and it will promp up a menu screen, OR he can just press the "BACK" button. no reason to be aggrevated there... anyone coming from an iphone will always bash about how the iphone is "better"
How I Fuze:
A big problem I've found is battery depletion. No use for a great phone that don't turn on. First thing to do is buy a spare battery and a cradle to charge it. Its fairly inexpensive and can save you. Turning on Airplane mode by holding the End button when riding the subway or in the basement of a building is a big one. Searching for a network drains a bunch of battery and if you're not going to have service anyway, why search. Just remember to turn it back to Phone.
The main complaint besides the screen seems to be sluggishness. I also had the same issue with my Fuze and while it wasn't as huge of a deal as some of these reviews make it seem, flashing a custom ROM (NATF 2.2 is on mine) works wonders for speeding up the device. This shouldn't be necessary out of the box, but that's the price you pay for a superior device. XDA has a huge amount of information and easy, step-by-step instructions for flashing that require little more than connecting your phone to your PC and running two files. If taking ten minutes to go from a good device to a great one is too much trouble, this probably isn't the phone for you...
Every reviewer expressed some frustration with the Fuze's resistive touch screen. Although capacitive touch screens are nice they require a live finger and so are not ideal for all conditions such as when I go skiing or work in the garden, situations where I have to wear gloves. The resistive screen works fine with gloves so my approach is to look at the bright side and appreciate its strong points.

As for Jennifer's many hours wasted trying to sync with Windows systems, well, that's easy: use a Mac with Missing Sync! Just kidding... sort of. ;)
I would Fuze by loading custom roms and installing all kinds of different apps. Two that I am really interested in is tomtom (because I currently have a iphone and i am sick of it) and also the bit torrent apps that Mal talked about in the podcasts. I am sick of a closed platform.
go to www.orb.com download their software (i hear its compatible with MAC Rene) :)
set it up, tell it where all your media files are, then open any browser on your fuze and head to my.orb.com
you can stream anything from your pc to your phone even a webcam,

dont forget to install skype, on your phone!!!

I thought the review over at TreoCentral was very insightful! However, I also thought that there were a couple of things that she was simply getting nit-picky. For example, to get so frustrated at the lack of a 3.5" headphone jack when about 95% of phones right now don't have this port! I think HTC did everyone a huge favor by including the adapter that will allow you to plug any headphone set into the phone, regardless of size. Regardless, there is another solution to this problem that she presented, simply check out these HTC Headphones with the mini input port found on wmexperts.com.

http://store.wmexperts.com/htc-stereo-headset/11A29A1450.htm

If you were to purchase these, then you don't have to worry about "lugging around" the adapter. Thank for the review!
I would use the Fuze to send those smug IPhone users home crying.
Several of the reviews said something about the sluggishness of TF3D. A custom ROM from XDA or ppcgeeks would probably speed it up quite a bit. A custom ROM would probably be the answer to quite a few of the complaints! It would get rid of some of the bloatware ATT adds.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=47737
i would use the fuse for standalone gps capabilities
silly little tip, but it works:

On the touchflo3d PEOPLE tab ... the pictures look terrible when they're linked directly from outlook contacts ... after linking an outlook contact, go into MENU > CHANGE PICTURE and select a contact picture directly

ahh, much better ... isn't that why you're using touchflo3d anyway, to show the coolness to your friends ... less blurry pictures = more coolness

thanks hth
In reading the review at Android Central, it becomes clear that one of the biggest problems the reviewer faced was the differences between TF3D and the underlying Windows Mobile. Frankly, I feel that that's one of the strong points of the device! It allows a beautiful user experience while still maintaining the power and customization of Windows Mobile.

Coming from a BlackBerry, I'd Fuze by enjoying the ability to actually have my device work the way I want -- enjoying the TF3D interface and learning the intricacies of Windows Mobile!
i would love the fuze just the way it is because it's perfect! no mods, not hacks, and no new roms necessary :)
I would use the Fuze to get better familiarized with the new generation of hard keypads that HTC is using.

Being a T9 whore myself it would do me some good to get a little QWERTY in my life!
How I Fuze (aka suggestions to people who have qualms with WM)

Pretty much all the suggestions of custom ROMs and tweaks are spot-on and will yield a great Fuze experience, but I think the real problem many non-WM smartphone users have is getting around the idea of having to tweak anything in the first place. WM is definitely a powerful and configurable platform, but that blessing can also be a curse: there's almost too much potential, that some people can't even imagine what they can do on WM -- leaving them to get hung up on WM's lesser weaknesses.

For a lot of other smartphones, everything is included in the box (like the revered "Complete iPhone Ecosystem"). For WM, it's what isn't included that makes it great: the phone can become whatever you want it to be, in the same way that we spend hours customizing our PCs (and WM really is like a fits-in-your-pocket PC) to make it uniquely ours.

So on that thought, the best way to Fuze is to do with a Fuze what you do with your computer. Read blogs like WMExperts for product tips and tricks (like you would other blogs for Firefox extensions, useful apps, etc); Participate in forums like XDA (like you would to troubleshoot desktop apps); even look at what competitors like Apple are doing, and bring those ideas back to WM sites to discuss and build upon. The platform improves by the day, and despite the little graphical speedbumps, all it takes is looking at some of the great things other people are doing with their WM phones to get a little inspiration and to make using WM a really great experience.
I've seen several posts on the AT&T forums and XDA from users that are struggling to find a way to keep the Fuze screen from turning on in their pocket and running down there battery. Locking the resistive touch screen is generally a bit of a problem.

I would create a locking application that would only unlock if you touched the fuze with your fingers, like the iPhone's capacitive screen. Luckily, someone has already made a free application that takes advantage of the Fuze's capacitive buttons: TouchLockPro. I highly recommend it - you can find it on XDA developers.
Touchpal is the ultimate on screen keyboard for fast replys to sms and emails.
i would create a software app that could use the scroll wheel as a touch pad like a computer mouse
I would use the GPS lag to motivate me to run faster on my morning jogs! Try out RUN.GPS!
I would show how to deal with WM once you get out of TF3D and back into the world of WM 6.1, and how to replace Office Mobile, the phone skin, etc... with productive tools.
I have seen folks talk about what is the best Lock for the Fuze.. my experience, is.. I definatly recommend PocketShield!!
its not complicated, and works like it should!!
It is payware.. but well worth it!! here is the link:http://pocketshield.netserver01.com/default.htm

Also, for those music junkies.. I found a program called MusicID.. it identifies songs... so its great for those songs that U hear and say, hey what is that song.. do a search and put it on your Fuze..

The true benefit of the Fuze or any other WM device is its ability to look like other devices with the ability to load 3rd party software. I have Tilt currenlty, but some features act like a Touch Pro. Some icons look like an iPhone and I have other third party software to update my facebook page like a blackberry. Having a WM phone means that if a capability is not there out of the box, it probably will be available soon.

As well, to all those BB Storm, iPhone and other full touch-screen users...wouldn't you like to "Fuze" with a real keyboard for a change.
How would I address Rene's inability to understand TF3D? Have him go to howifuze.com and spend more than 5 minutes trying to understand how to work the interface. Then, flash the rom or at least enable some sensitivity/touchscreen tweaks that will make it nearly as good as his beloved capacitive screen. This way, he can do all the exaggerated finger flicks he want without deliberately making it look bad.
Hands down, the thing that attracks me the most to the Fuze is the out of the box memory. I run my medical practice from my device and have very large databases. I also use NotifyLink and I have UpToDate mobile loaded in. Even with everything loaded on my storage card, my ATT Tilt gets into low memory states.
I would definitely use a Fuze as my primary phone and to conduct business. The Fuze/Touch Pro are awesome and will definitely be my next main brain even if I have to go out and buy one.
The IPhone guy was having a (somehow) hard time with the TF3D. Which is crazy to me because I personally have no problems with it. BUT, one thing he could do to make this easier to change the screen sensitivity. You can do this by using a 3rd party app, or simply change it in the registry. If he DID like the menus, but for some reason didnt want to slide the menu across, he could get the nifty SPB Mobile shell and customize it to his liking. IMO I think he was just trying to find something to complain about :)
Most of the complaints have already been addressed above. XDA is your friend. Better scrolling ability would be a plus. As far as screen size and headphone jack, well let's see what future versions have to offer. I'm still waiting for a U.S. version of Touch HD, come on HTC.
There seemed to be a lot of comments about navigating TouchFlo (screen sensitivity issues) and lag. So my suggestions would be to adjust the screen sensitivity to your liking and to hard reset and interrupt the AT&T bloatware installation. Simple fixes that should go a long way to addressing those two big issues.

Oh,and free the HTC youtube client.

Also, the xda wiki is a great resource in general.

What Rene of the iPhoneBlog really needs is some less hate of MS and WM! :) I think he really came with some prejudice and close mindedness of the whole WM platform. I have a Tilt running TF3D, and I swear to God that I am telling the truth, but my 2 year 9 month old daughter can slide between panels and flip photos, messages and weather cities. xda-devs is on my favs (even on my skyfire on the Tilt)
The Fuze would be the ultimate personal/business tool for me. My BJII is nice, but I would love the extra speed, memory, screen size, and touch capability the Fuze would provide for my everyday use.

Not to mention all of the women this phone would allow me to meet. This will surely happen because I choose to believe so.
I'd use the Fuze to replay Clone Wars episodes in nice widescreen great resolution for my 6 year old in the car :)
Turn off all sounds (even in the dialer), turn off all eye-candy (TouchFlo3D), read tips on XDA to speed up phone. That's how I Tilt..uhh I meant Fuze :)
XDA-Developers are your friend and the key to making ANY windows mobile device better whether it be system tweaks to custom apps. I can't even begin to say how much better I like my device after spending a couple of weeks on there.
Emulators. Roms.

Get that old school action goin on!
Having had several Windows Mobile phones (Moto Q, Moto Q9c, PPC-6700, HTC Touch) and now an iPhone 3G, I would LOVE a Fuze that could operate in two modes. A. - As it is now, moderate pressure to use touch screen and retain the ability to use the stylus. B. - Screen sensitivity at maximum, stylus unusable, but the TouchFLO 3D interface could be set up for 100% stylus free use. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
My advice regarding the Fuze would be to only slide out the keyboard when you are using it. I would play with my Titan/Mogul all day long by sliding the keyboard in and out, and eventually the spring broke. I don't think they were manufactured for that kind of use/abuse. :)
I long to use PhatPad with the Fuze. Especially with the magnetic stylus switch. I could pull out the stylus, and then instantly, the screen would turn on, PhatPad would launch, and I could write on the big, beautiful, VGA screen. Yep, thats how I would Fuze.
I would disable TouchFlo, and get rid of the ATT crapware. After playing with it often in an ATT store, I find it much more responsive (and easier for me to use, since I'm a longtime WinMo user) withOUT the mask of TouchFlo slowing things down.
This is how I would use the Fuse. I am pretty sure I might end up disabling ThouchFlow 3D. Install my Fav Multimedia app Kinoma Player. Defiantly invest in a 16GB microSD Card (WM Experts Store :) ). Drool over the VGA screen (I currently have a HTC Tytn II). I would check on XDA developers for any tweaks I can do to make things faster.
how would i fuze...
i will fuze by FU[Z]ING the fuze to my hand so i would never have to be a day with out it. i will fuze the battery power to my own self-powered body...i will make technological history. bahhahahaha. yes i WILL do it! :D

( wow! i totally wish i could win this! i got the blackberry bold...but fuze wasn't out at the time and i would like to try a wm phone. aspecial a htc phone! oh, big and holy and computer generated randomizer program, ... PLEASE PICK ME!!!!! )

lol

Thanks you WMExperts for this Oppertunity to win this amazing device!

and to all you people out there... have a happy holiday season (christmas) :)
As far as having trouble with the capacitive touch and/or TouchFlo, I'd recommend using the hardware keys. That's always been the preferable way to navigate WM for me (plus it helps keep fingerprints off the beautiful screen).
I would Fuze by using it to Video and Photo blog about by cross
country motorcycle trips. I usually meet tons of really interesting people and see lots of amazing places. Sharing the experience with the power of Windows Mobile is awesome! I use google's Blogger service. Here is a link to a blog I made with my Tilt. www.beaverbiker.blogspot.com . It would also frustrate all my iphone friends that I could do way more with a fuze than
their iphone.
most non-winmo reviewers had trouble getting around the phone as it requires too many clicks. i would actually disable tf3d and load spb mobile shell. it is way better than any other skins out there. plus u get options to set shortcuts for settings and even customize ur own menu!
I would fuze by using it to blog about my cross country motorcycle trips. I meet so many interesting people and see so many amazing places. I use google's blogger service. It is great. I work in Hollywood in the photo industry and there are so
many iphone people. I love showing them up with windows mobile.
All it usually takes is a simple mms or my slingplayer. I fuze would be awesome!
oh yeah, my last blog was www.beaverbiker.blogspot.com
TouchFlo is a great user interface. However, if you find that you don't like it you can always turn it off: Click on Start, choose Settings, choose Today, select Items, and then unselect the TouchFlo check box. Then select any items that you want on the home screen!
first I would set it on my HTC Fuze shrine and turn it on. I would bask in its glory as I was able to witness the initial installment of the bloatware. Once it was finished I would give it the respect it deserves and tweak all the extra that was effecting its performance. During the course of my continuing life there would be much blogging, over 3G and wifi connections. This would include pictures, silly and serious. There would be pictures of my brainwashed iphone carrying friends as they realized that I was watching TV, or even (gasp) sending an mms to someone whose phone could handle the awesomeness of receiving such. Once I hit the level of national fame, I might even take my HTC Fuze to Macworld and make them all jealous. Don't get me wrong, I would definitely have to ditch my blackberry first. This would not be hard considering that my glorious HTC Fuze is capable of synchronizing with all the programs on my mac that my blackberry does. That's it, one click and all of my contacts, appointments, notes, and such would be transferred over to my HTC Fuze. How AWESOME is that! Well, that's how I see it anyway.
I would Fuze by giving it to my husband so that we can finally use Push-To-Talk!
I would use a Fuze to not only play great accelerometer games, but to provide an essential tool to my daily office and personal world. Through the usage of the great Opera Mobile browser, Live Search, Office Mobile, and Wikipedia's new mobile site, I will be able to look up information, submit information, and collaborate and a whole new level.
I would use the Fuze to show those iPhoners what a real Smart phone can do.

Like the Vogue I already have, I would use it as a great alarm clock.

How would I use the ATT Fuze? I'm an Assistant Director of small business college library and there's quite a few usages I can think of the device for my purposes. I can use it on the go for creation and showing of powerpoints (the tv out adapter functionality cool); creating word docs for signs or for my attempst at freelance writing; constantly edit excel spreadsheets for my book purchase budget; use the excellent web browser in conjunction with the notepad or Microsoft word for research; taking photos on the go and use as part of freelance writing (photojournalism class), or to take photos at college events to post later; Find videos from Youtube or elsewhere that might be useful as part of a powerpoint; use it to organize my thoughts while on bus on the way in to work.

The list could go on and on. I had a chance to use it in an ATT store and thought the smallish buttons of keyboard would be a problem, but I somehow I got to used to them within a matter of minutes. That and it's power make me lust for this device.
I would use the Fuse for my corporate email. I would use the internet for electronic formula lookups. The phone for business, and pleasure.
First thing i would probably do, as much as i love it is ditch TF3D. If the phone is noticeably faster than a 6.1 Tilt (and more stable) while using TF3D, i'd probably keep it. If not, i'd probably downgrade to HTC home just so i can get the extra pep. If someone comes w/ a faster, slimmer ROM on XDA forums, then possibly i'd go w/ that while using the TF3d interface. i hope i'm not setting myself up for dissapointment. i was thinking about buying the fuze and if it wasn't a huge setup from the tilt, just returning it and waiting for the next phone (possibly w/ WM6.5). But if i could get this for free...well that'd be great
how would i fuze...
iwouldfuzeeverythingimylifetogether! bahhahaha. no but really i would enjoy the TouchFlow 3D, and probably use the blackberry OS thingy that's coming with it cuz i like blackberry.

idoyoulikehowi'mfu[z]ingallmywordstogether!!!hahailovethefuze.

( wow! i totally wish i could win this! i got the blackberry bold...but fuze wasn't out at the time and i would like to try a wm phone. aspecial a htc phone! oh, big and holy computer generated randomizer program, ... PLEASE PICK ME!!!!! )

lol

Thanks you WMExperts for this Oppertunity to win this amazing device!

and to all you people out there... have a happy holiday season (christmas) :)
I use it to quench all the questions i have about the world. I would also like it so i can finally say that every one in my family has a windows mobile phone.
Android Central complains about needing a stylus to navigate because of the fuze has a digitizer as opposed to the gphone's capacitative touchscreen. He didn't like breaking out the stylus. I've used digitizer touchscreens for years and still do with my final PDA.

First thing, is get a good screen protector. I prefer Clarivue because they don't leave behind residue, and are durable without interfering with touch sensitivity. But whatever works. After that, you can use your finger nail. All my devices are keyed to recognize a stylus only (they were made before muxing up your screen with prints was cool), but I only have to break the stylus out if I'm writing. For scrolling and selecting, it's second nature now.
How would I use the Fuze? I would use it to show off to my iPhone friends. I would also use it for software development (http://www.j2i.net)

Did you know that Windows Mobile has a Run Menu? It's hidden.

Hold down the action button and then press and hold on the clock in the task bar. Release the stylus from the screen and then release the action button. The run menu will appear.

This would primarily be used by developers. But there are some programs that accept command line arguments (which is hard to pass since there is no command prompt) but you can use this trick to pass arguments.
So, Jennifer didn't like the lack of a headphone jack. I say, Jenn, seriously, who needs wires? Take a look at the many bluetooth offerings --- the Moto S9 being my favorite. Then, buy a 16GB microSDHC card and install Mesh to keep your MP3s synced from your desktop.
How would I use the Fuze?

Man, it would be pretty nifty to schedule all my appointments, contacts, music and the internet in a single spot. I would use it all to effortlessly cruise through study after study in medical school.

Yeah, that would be the ticket.....
I really would love to have a Fuze!!
I would buy one myself, but I upgrade to a Palm Centro before it came out and I couldn't afford a Tilt or a Fuze in the first place
It would really help with some of my school work and help me with organizing my daily schedule, but the main reason I want one is because I'm really interested in Windows Mobile Professional Smartphones, but I can't really afford to buy one for myself.
Thanks for this awesome opportunity!
Rene says:
"Also frustrating, just when you’re getting used to the fresh, modern, 2008 UI of TouchFlo 3D, it will dump you back out into the cold, archaic, 1999 UI of Windows Mobile 6.1. It’s an entirely different user experience and frankly, it’s jarring. It’s bait-and-switch. It’s “she ain’t pretty she just looks that way” gone wired."

I wish I could disagree with the above comment, but I can't. :(
My tip; disable T-Flo and use it like a WM device is meant to be used.
"My only problem is that the shiny surface is the worst fingerprint magnet I've come across in a smartphone yet."

This was from the TreoCentral Review. Answer: Go buy the HTC Touch Pro Back Cover that is not the finger print magnet the Fuze Back Cover is. :)
I don't know much about it, but if i got it I would load it up with 3rd Party Software.
Open Source FTW!
XM Satellite Radio Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!
i want.... want want want.... woohoo
I FUZE you.

I currently have T-Mobile (HTC) Shadow. I like it, but if i got my hands on a Fuze. I would use it for my new job I'm starting in the new year. Mobile connectivity is the future and the FUZE would bring me there.
I would make the Fuze my OneNote Mobile device. Using OneNote Mobile, I can take notes in my meetings, and even take pictures of the whiteboards and/or projector screen and put them all into an easy readable format back on my laptop. If you haven't tried it, you need to!
The Iphone user who reviewed the Fuze hated that he wasn't sure if he was typing his passwords correctly. There are a couple of solutions that I think could work:
1) add a utility to windows so that caps lock and "Shift" key presses are shown on the screen in the title bar or

2) add a utility that unmasks passwords

The first option would be preferred, but the second option may be easier to implement.
ive gotten a chance to play with the fuze in its SOftbank form here in Japan. the addition of advanced cofiguration tool makes all these little problems go away for me. like one poster has mentioned already, the addition of having video out will help me , being that I'm a pro videographer and all. plus i already use kinoma player making any ipod look good only if its above 8gb. imagine what youtube vids look like in vga? how about skyfire?
I'm frequently out of town and I'd use the Fuze to check from time to time to make sure my house isn't burned down, considering all the fire hazard gadgetry that's in my place! I'd do this by using Orb connected to my webcams. Once I see that my house is undamaged, I'd use Orb again to stream live TV! Thanks WMExperts, keep up the great feeds.
I'm a serial beta tester with a long history of quality feedback/suggestions/bugs on the software I test.

I'm also a big windows mobile user -- and I'm worried about the platform.

So - I'll use the Fuze to participate in betas for as much windows mobile software as I possibly can. I'll start by signing up for testing the Live Mesh client for windows mobile - along with any other betas I can find on connect.microsoft.com. If I can somehow get on the beta testing program for WM 6.5 and then WM 7 -- even better. I know Opera Mobile 9.5 is in beta right now (already using/testing the heck out of it on my Epix) -- but there's still room for improvement and I'll keep contributing. There's more (I'd give specifics if NDAs didn't forbid it) -- but I assume you get my drift by now.
How would I use a Fuze?
I'd use it to make calls, of course!
I would use the FUZE for everything...
One of the frustrations listed was that the reviewer was having trouble getting it to sync. What works for me most of the time on my WM device is to restart the device and or the PC it is trying to sync to. This usually works. THie problem seems to happen randomly to me and overall, not very frequently.
I would use the fuze to replace my BlackJack II and further converge the organization of my life onto a mobile phone.
I'd use it to wipe all AT&T bloatware apps from the ROM and then install the original HTC TouchFlo3D application. The device would then run the way it was intended before it fell to the dark side that is AT&T.
I currently use a Titan and while its a great phone, it does not have the beautiful screen that the Fuze does! This is why I will be upgrade in the near future.
I'd use the to become CEO of my company!
I'd use the Fuse to scare my children. ( Seriously! ) They think I'm crazy for not having a new enough phone.
