GSM Touch Diamond and its hefty CDMA cousin

Nope your are mistaken. It is the same cpu as the GSM and the same integrated 4gig no sd slot. The biggest difference is that is has a 1350mAh battery. You can watch a video review here: http://thetouchblog.com/

I don't understand why you talk about rumor. The Telus version has already been released. So unless Sprint is getting a whole other device the specs of the Telus are already well known.

I would like to post the same thing I did on boy genius about the phones so people are clear on what they are and the differences.

I took those photos the same evening I brought home my Telus Diamond. It is not the Raphael (pro)
The battery is indeed 1340mah and does not last any longer then its gsm counter part at 900mah because ev-do rev a sucks that extra juice out pretty quickly. (I can only compare against the gsm edge as 3G north american bands were not available on my Asian Diamond so I would assume had hsdpa been used the gsm Diamond would die faster)
The CDMA Diamond is 2mm thicker and trully does feel better in hand. The GSM version feels like it is built with a heavier material for the outside metal bevel (where HTC Innovation is etched) but the extra size of the CDMA version makes up the weight in its larger size. Pretty close overall. (in actual weight)

Until a particular carrier/operator releases a phone, comparing the specs of another carrier's version of the phone is a guess at best. I was speaking of the Verizon and Sprint versions of the phone, which purportedly had different specs from one another. Since Sprint and Verizon can (and do) customize the versions of the phone that they put out, it's almost a guarantee that there will be differences from the Telus version. So going by the specs of the Telus version is a gamble and can only give you a general idea of what to expect.

Thus, any speculation on the specs for the Sprint or Verizon (or any unreleased) version of the phone should be treated as rumor. I think that's common sense.

Please let me know if I have this strait.

The touch diamond is GSM and no keyboard and will come out on AT&T in the near future.

The Touch pro has a keyboard and is CDMA and will also come out in the near future.

So for me at AT&T I will not be offered a device with a keyboard in the near future unless I go for the treo pro. Is that correct? My job just switched me to AT&T and I dont even have a phone yet except for a simple cheap non-pda phone. I dont want the old treo 750 or the semi-old Tilt or the old, old treo 680. Thanks for someones help. Sorry to ask newbie questions. I haven't been reading the site much lately.
