For those who've been following the whole Skyfire browser trend, you'll know that to get the app you have to enroll in their beta testing.

What's worse is that beta testing is closed (invite only) and if you sign up now, there's very little chance of getting in on the glory.

Well, thanks to this little tip, you can bump your application up and get the download link now:

  • If you have never registered, just go here and enter in CNET100 in the code section
  • If you have previously registered, but did not get enrolled, go back and re-enter your info exactly (same number, same email, same name) and now enter the code: CNET100

You should see a screen that says that they've found your registration and you'll get an SMS link to download the Skyfire browser.

No telling how long this will last, so jump on it now! (Only U.S. based customers though, sorry)

Wow, huge thanks for the tip. It's definitely interesting to finally see this thing in action. Especially now that we all have Opera 9.5 to compare it to. The first time I launched it on my ATT Tilt it ran like garbage. But after restarting it everything seems to be running much smoother. The experience still doesn't seem as slick as Opera, but the flash support is really nice (can't wait for that in Opera).
Didn't work for me.

Not working here it says I'll be notified when beta 2 is available.
It worked! sweet...downloading .cab now. Woot!!
Didn't work. It says I am part of Beta 2 queue. I tried to enter my information again and this time it took Gizmodo.
I got it to work:

If you haven't registered for this before then you register. I registered with the code CNET100 and I got the above messages too "Your in line for the Beta 2 download".

But register again and like Malatesta said, enter all your info again and add the code. You'll get a different response this time with an SMS that has a link to the cab file.

Hope this helps!

Eric
Downloaded and installed. I am posting this via Skyfire. It is great.

This would even be better on a 320x320 resolution. The 750 resolution is unreadable on its full view.
I cannot open up the www.dslreports.com
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I've been sitting on the "waiting list" for this app for what seems like FOREVER!

I gotta say, it was worth the wait. I've been a Opera Mini user and was pretty much sold on it based on the speed and stability.

Skyfire is not only as fast... but stable as a rock (even loaded onto my storage card)... and the experience is top notch. Just like the web should be.

I can't say it enough. Thanks so much WMExperts!!!
WOW ! This week Xmas came early for me... Out of nowhere, I notice my Moto Q9h is now on the 3G network everywhere I go, so ATT came through as promised a expanded the high-speed network... Now this ! Skyfire is running great so far and I am so happy!

Now I'm gonna have to bring along the extended life battery !!

Thanks so much for this tip!
Dude this thing is AWESOME!!! I was even able to open my play list from Napster directly from my PHONE!!! Its limitless music right on my phone!!! I can search artist, songs, albums, you name it! Music quality is not that great but the fact that now I have no limit on my storage is awesome!!!
