Until recently if we wanted to watch YouTube on a Windows Mobile device, we had to to hack our Windows Mobile device to do it. Not anymore. Now YouTube improved its site so that Windows Mobile users can access it without a hassle. Again not all videos play perfectly but it’s a start for now.

My first couple of runs worked flawlessly and all 4 videos played without a hitch. Then I tried to watch an episode of High Stakes Poker and it couldn’t read the file. One of the things that bugged me is that it goes into landscape mode when I hit full screen. Being that I have a Treo 750 it doesn’t make that big of an improvement, but if you have an HTC 8525 it might help. Other cool features inclued the ability to search, see your own account, check featured videos, and my favorites.

Now you can enjoy all the laughter of rabbits racing cars and the presidential debate without having to worry about cab files or registry hacks. Simply point your mobile browser to m.youtube.com and get to watching. Keep in mind you will want to have an unlimited data plan due to the fact that large amounts of data will be streamed.

Videos still do not play for me on a Sprint Treo 700wx.
Doesn't work on my Touch either. Windows Media Player loads then either says "cannot perform the requested action at this time" or "An unknown error 0x8007274D has occurred."
Doesn't work on Sprint Mogul (6800) either.
doesnt work on my tmobile wing either. also i downloaded the touch commander to my wing and i get tones of error msgs also i have msnbc mobile video on my wing and now i get "not enough memory msgs". i have a 1 gig sd card and both programs r on the card. there is plenty of room left. give me some heads up..... tried soft resets and nothing. when i remove touch commander everything works properly
It doesn't work on my Motorola Q9m. Maybe you need the HTC Streaming Media hacks to play the RTSP protocol files.
Hm. I guess I'm so used to having those protocols installed that I didn't think twice about this when Nick put it up. Will look into it and post an update tomorrow!
hello everyone, im not posting a comment but jus wanted to put an idea out there...... i think it would b super to have a pocket pc device (slider style) with a slider LCD keyboard.....this i think would b revolutionary and would cut down on the thickness of these style devices. also u could change the keyboard style, button functions, styles and colors among other keyboard attributes! what do u guys think?
I have installed the HTC Streaming Media Player on to my Tilt and YouTube worked.
Gee, my little ol under-powered, "dumb" Q9c plays'em just fine (just watched Balmer dance like a monkey....again). Man, you poor PPC guys with your kitchen sinks! ;)

please show the albumes
