Yesterday we went with the story that Sprint is getting ready to launch the Touch Diamond, which was recently seen in the testing stage at that company, so it seemed quite plausible.
But then three other pieces of evidence have caused us to cautiously re-evaluate the situation:
- Our earlier story on a CDMA version of the Touch Dual
- JayTV over at Sprintusers, who gets some good inside info, says it's the Dual as well
- HTC 6950 now seems more appropriate for the Dual (6900 is the original Touch), seeing as it is just a minor version change
Bit of a let down, eh? While the Touch Dual will be a nice device, it sure doesn't bring the glam that the Diamond seems to have.
Still, we expect the Diamond to not trail too far behind, which means Sprint will have a busy fall with Touch Duals, Diamonds and Pros in Q3 and Q4.

So now whats this July 27th Date for the 800w?? I went into our local Sprint store today and the guy I talked to said they have just been hearing about it for the first time in the last few days, and they hadn't gottan a demo unit in yet, so.... Depending on store is it gonnna be closer to that date or ??
