Xperia to hit Mid September?

If you can believe what Handango is telling its partners, we should see the Xperia X1 drop in the US in “mid-September 2008.” It will also include their In-Hand application, which isn't standard operating procedure for AT&T Windows Mobile devices. If memory serves, it might actually be a first.

In any case, our desire for this hotness has only grown since our first look Review of the Xperia X1. A mid-September release of the device would be perfect -- more than enough time to fill the retail channels with devices before the big holiday season. As soon as we get a rumor on the price we'll let you know -- that plus this information should allow you to calculate just how much you'll be needing to save from every paycheck. Our guess is the price will be substantial, but we are willing to be proven wrong.

Sometimes I think the forums are too fragmented, and posts dont really get enough views to make it worth posting in them.

Hi Surur -

We're going to solve some of that by adding a "Tip the Editors" button to forum posts in the nearish future - so if you have something that you think needs to be on the front page, you can let us know.

too long. :(
I'm guessing $499 after subsidy. Mid-September seems like a lifetime. Ugh.
