Trinket Software: Cool Call Tools
We love Windows Mobile for a lot of different reasons. It’s powerful, customizable, and has a great community of up and coming developers. Our latest favorite: Trinket Software. They offer a few neat little apps, starting with Do Not Disturb, which gives you control of how and when your phone rings. You can set different profiles that allow only certain calls to come through. So if you’re on vacation you can have your phone only ring for people in your friends category and everyone else will be blocked. Alternately, if you need you phone to ring, Fake Call could help you get out of a horrible date or a boring meeting.
They also offer PowerSMS, which gives you fined grained control over several SMS functions, including self-sending notes, group sms, auto reply, and scheduled SMS, and backup/restore. This would be a great alternative to tasks because if your task list looks anything like mine, then you should have got a hair cut a loooong time ago. Instead of ignoring tasks you can pay attention to the text you receive and act accordingly.
We've said it before but here, we'll say it again: Windows Mobile lets developers dig deep into the OS to modify features that other smartphones would never let them touch. Big ups to Trinket for making some fun and useful apps which take advantage of that.
