They are usually handled as multiple messages, You type as if there is no limit and then the receiver gets 2, 3, 4 etc messages.

Where did you see that the Omnia didnt have GPS? Here is a snippet from the EU review "Here’s what the Omnia has under the hood as far as hardware goes. 16 gigs of onboard storage, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot, 5mp Camera, FM Radio, and a very large, colorful 240x400 WQVGA screen."

Are you referring to Verizon locking down GPS to their nav subscription?

Its a verizon phone, they always cripple GPS (so they can sell you VZNavigator for $5 a month)

I'm not a fan of the messaging. I don't like that as soon as I open a message it goes into reply mode by opening the keyboard.
I don't like the contacts app, it's a bit troublesome to look them up (too many steps).
I don't like the touch wiz at all.

The rest I'm fine with, just trying to decide on a launcher and possibly better messaging app.

I turned touch wiz off as well, I use MobileShell most, but I use the WM Today screen. For SMS and contacts I use and would suggest trying PocetCM...it is free and the black skin looks/works great on the Omnia. You can find it here: http://pocketcm.com/contact.php

You can sync onto your card, or if you have an SD converter pop it into a reader and use it that way!! Outlook should sync everything both ways...when I first synced my Omnia it set up the relationship, and asked how I wanted to sync...I chose to combine on both devices and all that was on my PC synced to the Omnia and all new things on the Omnia was added to the PC!!

I just found a new problem. No matter whether or not I'm using IE or Opera, it will not allow me to login to this site. It keeps telling me my password is incorrect, when I know it isn't.
I've logged into other sites, but this one will not let me in.

I'll look into that case...maybe VZW is starting to carry more now!! I can't answer the signing in problem....maybe you need to use PIE for this site?

When I went to the store on Sunday, I told them I was looking for a case for the Samsung Omnia. They looked at me like I was from Mars. So I said the SCH i900, still nothing. They hadn't even heard of it yet.

I tried that, she said she couldn't change it, but she guided me through making sure I selected the correct features.
Then I called customer service a few days later to find out about the $70 rebate, and they just credited my account with the rebate as well as the discounted price of the phone.

Thanks for reminding me...I have to find out about the refund as well.....they told me it was going to be a visa card mailed with the device (made me wonder...what if we return it? I should call after work!!

I also asked about if I wanted to return it. They said they would just credit the account minus the amount of the rebate.

That is so stupid.
I send text messages to my entire pool team letting them know where we're playing, tournament times, schedule changes etc. I sent the message to 7 people and all 7 message stayed in the inbox.
