HTC HD2 on Devicewire

How badly do you want an HTC HD2? For a little more than $800US, you can import one now from Devicewire. That said, it'll be lacking the U.S. 3G bands. But you'll still have EDGE and WiFi, and the knowledge that you're the first on your block to have the biggest and baddest Windows phone on the market. [Devicewire via Coolsmartphone]

Yeah, $800 and no 3g, let me go get my credit card and order up this bad puppy. Can't imagine that it will be a big seller here in the US.

stop with the misinformation. the real number is $729 with shipping (and thats due to the very recent HUGE USD drop)

you dont have to pay for taxes if you buy it from from outside UK

the unlocked stupid 3GS Costs 730 EUROS

$729, well that makes all of the difference in the world. Thanks for sharing that info. Wouldn't buy the 3GS you mention either at that price.

dude you have no idea what you are talking about

1st everything in europe is damn expensive. so this isnt that bad

2nd the iphone 3gs or the Droid in the states is $200 upfront but the price with 2 year plan is more $3700. i would do the math to show you, but to tell you the truth, i kinda hate you

SO what does this mean, it would work on the AT&T or T-Mobile carriers only in the US?

Correct, but only on EDGE, no 3G.

When you compare $729 vs. the full price of the Touch Pro2 ($599 on Sprint, $539 TMo, $499 AT&T), it's actually not that bad of a deal, considering the additional features of the HD2, etc.

I'm not saying you should go get it, but let's keep this in perspective.

I've been trying to stay on top of this on rumor patrol. Does anyone think this will come to Verizon? I'm due for a new phone in June.

i'm going to wait for the Telstra version (hoping it will be released soon), which is expected to have the at&t compatible 850 3G band. i got the UK HD when it was first released and then the Telstra HD cuz i wanted 3G access; this time around i'm going to exercise a tiny-bit-of patience, lol. my current HD will hold me over until then.

ufgrad you have no imagination and a small brain.
You will miss the brilliant features this phone has, when it does become available in us.
