Get a T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 ... for FREE

We've seen the major U.S. carriers locked in a bit of a pricing war over the latest HTC phones. T-Mobile has fired the latest salvo, offering up the HTC Touch Pro 2 for free.

"But, Phil," you say, "this must be some kind of scam! They must be crazy!" It's not, and they are, but whatever. This is part of that WMDeals Web site, and it's indeed legit. So if you've been holding off on that T-Mo Touch Pro 2, you really don't have any more excuses. Just follow the instructions above.

Hell yea free

Wow, that is awesome timing guys. Thanks for the deal!

I feel sorry the people who paid the full T-Mobile price.

And now for the Sprint Version. That's the only one I'm interested in.

indeed, i want it but not for 449 upfront, crazy . But boy wouldnt id love to give up my iphone for it......just not for 449 PLUS tax!!

I second the Sprint version. Would be nice to see.

I was all over this as soon as the T-Mo store opened. Grab the phone, pay the $200 ETF, SIM Unlock it (thanks XDA), and run it on AT&T until the AT&T version comes out (for 3G and hopefully headphone jack capablities), then sell the T-Mo one on Ebay to hopefully make a lil bit towards the AT&T version ;)

Wow it must be nice to have the kinda money to do that.

Too bad HTC screwed it up so bad. If you have a PIN lock, every time you pull the phone away from your head the screen reverts back to the TouchFLO home screen, which means muting, using the keypad (concalls, voicemail) is a serious pain. You have to press the phone button to get back to the call screen first! Horrible usability so I took mine back to Sprint.

Seriously the worst phone I've ever used because of that.

Funny, my T-Mobile doesn't do that, and I'm sure the Sprint version can be configured to not do that as well.

Shame on you for not having the 5 minutes of time and intelligence to research it first, and instead decided to trash one of the best phones on the market.

The problem is well documented on XDA-developers as well as elsewhere. I've tried registry key changes, hard resets, etc. to resolve the problem. I spent approximately 4 hours trying to resolve it. Shame on me indeed! There are reports of the Verizon version having the same problem. It only effects people that have a password PIN policy applied to their phone from an Exchange server. Does that fit your description also?

Nope, I run exchange, but only have a PIN for unlocking my phone. I'm search XDA right now trying to find the issue.

My apologies, your first post didn't clarify it was a possible exchange security issue.

Still though, that doesn't mean the phone is junk at all. As funny enough, the iPhone didn't even properly support exchange security until the 3Gs
