iPAQ K3 Obsidian

If for some reason seeing pictures of the HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian with AT&T branding wasn't enough to convince you that some fresh Windows Mobile Standard fare was on its way, let us present Exhibit B. Straight from the Federal Communications Commission (you guys rock!) comes the latest proof. The telltale 850MHz and 1900MHz bands are there, plus, as you can see, there's a AT&T SKU number of the FCC label, so ...

A reminder on the specs:

  • Windows Mobile 6.5
  • 2.46-inch AMOLED touchscreen at 320x240 pixels.
  • Qualcomm 7200A processor @ 528MHz
  • 256MB RAM/512MB ROM
  • GPS
  • 3.2MP camera
  • WiFi b/g.

Might this be one of the new Windows phones we see on Oct. 6?

Maybe this phone will do well in the developing markets of the world but the specs it has are very outdated for the US, Canada, and most of Europe.

If HP wants back in the game they will need to step it up a few notches from this.

ATT grabed this but would not jump at the treo pro !!!
