HTC Willow on Sprint

Well lookie what the cat dragged in. If our powers of reason and deduction are correct, we appear to be looking at a Sprint-branded HTC "Willow," courtesy of PPCGeeks user OrionsBuckle. This should be the S511 we've been expecting and will be Sprint's variant of the slightly more sexy Snap.

It's got the almost-standard 528MHz Qualcomm processor, a 2MP camera and what looks like 256 megabytes of  ROM (storage) and 128 RAM, with about 70MB available. Also note the Inner Circle button on the lower right of the keyboard. And as for the battery, well, OB puts it this way:

i wish i woulda took a picture of the battery on this thing...its GIGANTIC!! its 1500mah or however you spell that lol.... bigger then the TP battery and the screen is smaller.

OrionsBuckle says it'd have a June 7 release date, which falls in line with Sprint's usual Sunday launches, and it also matches up with that leaked Sprint roadmap we saw. Price should be $149, about $50 under the Treo Pro.

Loads more pictures after the break.

Sniff...as the Moto Q9c gets shown the door.

This phone looks great and especially at $149. The housing and internals screams Treo Pro--this is basically its WM Standard sister-device.

Ugly.

Wifi??

Hey Its Orion... I Did Not C Wifi On It...But Keep In Mind The Very First Version I Saw Of This Had A Track Ball In The Middle Like The BB 8330...But Sprint Trashed It So U Never Know

awww...I wanted a track ball, then again that D-pad looks cozy

Yeah, I don't think this has Wifi...gotta keep some product differentiation!

I like the big round buttons on the Snap better - personal preference.

I thought these were supposed to have 320x320 - a first for Standard. This sure looks like 240x320.

I'm pretty sure the Propel Pro is the only 320x320 Standard device that exists or has been announced to date.

nah, Snap and Willow were always 240x320...shame

glossy instead of matte like the snap. fail. (imho)

I know the Pre release date hasn't been announced, but assuming it's June 7, would they release this at the same time? Would anybody buy it?

I think this phone and the Pre target different consumers.

And yeah, no trackball? No matte/rubbery surface? I definitely like the Snap better...

I really doubt that they would launch any other phones on the same day or even week as the Pre. I know that anything is possible, but they need an embargo on any other smartphone releases for at least a week or two when they release their new flagship device.

But, it is Sprint...

That space bar is a terrible design too. Why not put the question mark on the right side and actually center it? Is there something about CDMA/EVDO that means the devices have to be designed worse than on GSM? Is it in HTC's contract with AT&T or something?

I think the period should be on the right of it and question mark in it's place. Space bar should definitely be centered either way.

Bummer that it doesn't have a flash, but not a deal breaker. Looks like what a great phone should be. 1. slim 2. qwerty keyboard 3. easy to use phone 4. easy to text 5. get your emails 6. basic PIM functions

This was definitely my next phone until I saw the d-pad and the new finish. Why sprint? Why?!

what is this offering that the Q9c and Ace don't have? Is the screen bigger?

Faster processor. More memory (I think. Typing that without checking)
