It looks like AT&T sneaked the LG eXpo onto is Web site overnight. The eXpo was due to be released on December 7, so a week delay isn't that bad.

The Windows Mobile 6.5 phone is $199.99 after rebates and contract ($449.99 for those not wanting to mess with contracts).  The eXpo has a 3.2-inch 480x800 screen, a "smart sensor," Snapdragon processor and can be fitted with an optional, "piggy-back" pico projector which will cost you an extra $179.99.

No reports on when the projector will be available, but you can find the eXpo at AT&T's Web site.

Anyone notice that on the AT&T website it lists talk time for the eXpo at a very short "up to 3 hours" when the Tilt2 says "up to 8.5 hours"?

Could the Snapdragon really be that deadly to battery life?

they also say it can show 16m colors

if hd2 with a 4.3 capacitive screen and a 1200mah battery can last a day, the expo can last two

i am actually kinda interested in this phone, not for the projector but....the 1ghz :)

however it seems like it has no 3.5mm jack.... is this really true? how is it possible that a media phone can have no 3.5 mm?

if so this is a deal breaker.

Does anyone know if this will allow custom roms? IF so, this may be a pretty awesome phone.

and you can always detach the projector when you dont want it, or not even bother buying it.

what do you guys think?

It is showing out of stock, in fact it showed out of stock all day. So if they put it online late last night (I checked around 6pm eastern last night and it was not there)they sold out very quickly. I just chatted with a rep on their web site and she said they had some, they are now gone, and she does not know when they will get more.

Good news! It is back in stock. Placed an order yesterday and FedEx will be delivering it tomorrow.

For upgradeb the price is higher and its still showiung out of stock may be a long wait for resupply.

an interesting addition to att's overlapping and confusing line of phones and choices that probably confuses customers about windows mobile in general.

we need one really good phone with a superior user interface experience - not 50 choices of sub-market-expectation devices.

power consumption seems high, as others have noted. quality software will be efficient, so perhaps the LG user interface software code isn't as lean as what htc has developed over a few iterations of doing this.

still, i'd jump for joy at an hd2 pro on att. no point holding my breath for that though, right?

The no 3.5 mm jack should scare anyone off of buying a phone. You can purchase an adaptor for under $5 on Amazon.

I am quite confused as to how long the battery life is actually going to last. I don't really care about the fact that it does not have a 3.5mm since it comes with an adapter so it doesn't seem like much of a problem.

also (in your opinions) is the tilt2 a better choice than the lg expo?

The new domain hosting i setup is finally running a mobile version of our website
