Microsoft Office 2010 beta

Microsoft has made the Office 2010 beta available for public consumption, which means you and I can download it for your desktop as well as your phone. The mobile version is available in the Windows Marketplace for Mobile, and you can get the desktop version here. The beta includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint Workspace and OneNote. Exchange 2010 will require your Exchange provider to push it out once it's released.

Do note that the beta will expire on April 5, 2010, so don't be expecting to use this forever. We'll be tinkering with Office 2010 over the next few days. Share your thoughts in the comments, and let us know what you would like to see.

I don't see any obvious improvements yet. Hyperlinks within Word Documents still do not work. Is there a changelog somewhere?

Still a pile of crap...

Hi,

Install worked great, all seems to work fine. I am impressed at the quality of the software, the quality programs MS has set up seem to be working.

One question though: How would you like to receive feedback? There is no option (I could find) to send feedback on the Beta (I already have a few improvement requests, like having your templates in direct access within the New section of backstage).

Note: does NOT work on most 6.1 devices yet, and is blocked from Marketplace if it senses a 6.0/1 phone. Also only available in the US. Available as a cab at xda if you want to test the waters for your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=586351. No bueno on my VZW Ozone.
