Well, look at that. Somebody over at Microsoft just won $20, 'cause they managed to get the Bing application into Apple's App Store, making it available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

I gave it a quick run-through and found it more or less acts the same as Bing on Windows Mobile. Can't speak to whether it suffers from the same complaints we've seen recently.

More screen shots after the break, and more at The iPhone Blog.

So they devoted their time to making the one for the iPhone more polished and smooth than the one for their own frigging platform!

On top of that, I bet that that it likely works, unlike those of us that got it on our devices only to tell us that it wasnt designed to work on it!

What the hell is wrong with those clowns at WinMo?!? THIS is how the one for WinMo should have looked and behaved!

I swear to God somedays WinMo...

y cant we have tish type of app for windows?! windows app is nothing like this....at least from the ui point of view

This app looks nothing short of awesome. Which can't be said about the WM version.

Wow I have both a TP2 and an iPhone and I have to say the iPhone version blows away the WM version UI side being touch friendly. This makes no sense at all and leaves me with little hope for the future of WM.

SOME BODY DONT LIKE THE TRUTH HUH, NO MATTER HOW U SAY IT, CENSORED, UNCENSORED OR ERASED... THR TRUTH REMAINS MY FRIENDS.... MY OPINION AND NOT THE OPINION OF WM EXPERTS OR IT'S AFFILIATES.....IF U MISSED THE LAST FEW I POSTED THEY HAVE BEEN DELETED

I'm not surprised they got it into the App Store. Now, when they sneak it into Android Marketplace, THEN you'll have a story!

I, for one, I guess, really like that MSFT did this. It shows that MSFT is aware of what the iPhone platform can do. I'm not concerned that Bing for WinMo/WinPho 6.x doesn't match this.

Now if Bing for WinPhone 7 doesn't look *better* than the iPhone version, then I will step away from the MSFT mobile platform.

I'm also considering the iPod Touch platform to replace some of the industrial Windows Mobile devices my company uses.

I hope MSFT is learning from this.

Why does the iphone UI for ALL programs always look so much better than the WM version? What is it the coding platforms used or what? It just seem as if wm applications are formatted with blocks and squares with no intention or making it visually appeasing to the eyes!
