Review: Nite Ize Leather Cargo Case (Vertical)
Looking for a vertical case that will hold just about everything but the kitchen sink? Something with pockets to handle cash/credit cards, Bluetooth headsets, or maybe a house key?
Nite Ize may have just what your looking for with their Leather Cargo Clip Case (vertical). We have already looked at Nite Ize's horizontal cargo case and we recently had the opportunity to take the vertical Cargo Case out for a test drive with the AT&T Tilt 2.

Design and Quality
The Leather Cargo Case is made of oil skin leather (e.g. soft leather) with elastic sides. The stitching is solid with no loose seams present. A large flap secures with velcro and holds the Windows phone in place nicely.
The interior is lined with suede to the front and to the interior rear, stretch fabric that forms an interior pocket. There is minimal padding to the face of the case.
The Cargo Case is fitted with a large, plastic, swivel belt hook. The clip is designed to hook and loop around the belt. The design offers an extremely secure fit to the belt but also makes it a little bit of a puzzle to place and remove from the belt. The clip needs to be opened up wider than most to navigate your belt around the hook and loop design of the clip.
The "cargo" in the cases' name comes from the cases interior pocket that is large enough to hold credit cards, cash, identification, or a house/car key. The case is also fitted with an elastic loop just above the belt clip that is designed to hold your Bluetooth headset.
Lastly, the Nite Ize case is fitted with an interior elastic loop that is designed to hold a pen or pencil. Interior space is tight with the Touch Pro 2 or Tilt 2 but there's just enough room inside the Cargo case to allow for a pen to slide inside the loop.
Fit and Feel
The Cargo Case was sized just right for the AT&T Tilt 2. The Windows phone slips into the case with very little effort and just enough of the phone is exposed to make removal just as effortless.
I had my reservations on how comfortable the Cargo Case would be on the belt because of it's size. To my surprise, the case rode comfortably on the belt but the bulk was clearly evident. Especially when you add the Bluetooth headset and the pen.
The larger belt clip has a little play in it due to its size. Because of the clips design, I had no concerns on the case falling off my belt but it did have a little bounce to it.
Overall Impression
The Nite Ize Leather Cargo Clip Case is well built, secure means to carry your HTC Touch Pro 2 or Tilt 2. While it's a quality case, it's not for everyone.
I can see this case come in handy for outdoor use such as camping, hiking, or maybe around the construction site. I don't see this case matching up with a coat and tie or even casual wear because of the bulk.
Bottom line, the Cargo Case is a nice case but not for every situation. At $16.95, the Cargo case may be a good choice for a second case to use when your tackling the great outdoors.
