Wmexpertspodcast

We go loooong this week because there's plenty to talk about: Your voicemails, Motorola's collapse, the Treo 800w, and more!

Be sure to email us -- podcast@wmexperts.com -- we want to talk about what you want to hear about. You can also leave us a voicemail to be played on-air: 866-904-5882 x222.

Read on for the show notes.

Update: Yah, the audio sucked, don't know why that happened. We've fixed it up, go ahead and download the new one -- unless you don't mind bleeding ears.

Tips and Software

  • Review: Facade Today Screen Customizer
  • Google Search Today Screen Plug in Now Available
  • Roll your own. Go to \Application Data\Home , copy your favorite blah.home.xml file onto a memory card, then you can edit it on your desktop. Easiest thing is to move plugins around. Each plugin starts with < plugin > and ends < /plugin >. Be sure to change the name at the top of the file to something you'll recognize. Rename the file to foo.home.xml and copy it over to \Application Data\Home on your device. Rinse Repeat!
  • Yes, the above instructions stink and yes, we fully intend to bring you a full how to in the next week or so

I've concluded, for some odd reason and disconcertingly, that I sound somewhat like Grover....lmao
I upped the compression a tiny bit on this one to try to shrink the file size -- that might do it.

NEAR!!!!

..........FAR!
For some reason, all the audio is only coming from the Right speaker, and no voices from the Left... :(
I'm using god-awful crappy headphones and noticed the same thing but chalked it up to the headphones, not the recording...

Guess it's the recording/mixing afterall ;-)

Deets: we deserve to be heard in Dolby 7.1 digital surround...but I can settle for stereo, lol
Hey, forget Dolby, go for DTS-HD Master Audio! :)

But in all seriousness, thanks for such a great podcast!
good lord - I mixed the podcast down with just one headphone today (usually it's two) so I could hear what was going on in the office. I'll remix it tomorrow morning.

...I've been podcasting for what, 2 years now, and I still can't get it right!
ya it's pretty rough dieter lol
fixed!
