Hands On with Opera Mobile 9.5

That one came from a simple Google search. There're are plenty of other tweaks out there, too.

Just this first beta is ok. I prefer the look/skin on it over the previous leaks and its handled larger pages better however the some of the leaked verison loaded much quicker and handled page formatting better ( like text doesn't fit to width until you zoom in)
But all in all just wait for the final app.

The leaked HTC version renders better. Regarding memory,64 MB is so 2007.

completely unusable on the 700wx.. even with lots of memory available. It runs at a snails pace and seems too buggy. Maybe I'll try overclockign to see if that helps.

im hope it works on the tro 800w,im getting it in a week i think, and retireing the mogul.

It works just fine on the 800w, but thanks to the 800w's display drivers it's not all that much faster than IE Mobile. Turns out IE isn't all that bad with the right hardware.

Why oh why did they release this unusable juck build? I'm using build 1522 (leaked from a Diamond rom) on my Sprint Touch and it is a COMPLETELY smooth experience. No "Out of Memory" errors, most IMEs work (no crappy WinMo std keyboard), and the black UI looks much slicker than the gray. Flash 7 even works (but has an annoying IME popup bug... it's cool to see it work but it's pretty useless after that).

Why did Opera release this buggy build 1718 as beta 1 instead of 1522?!

Anyway, for everyone that wants the TRUE revolution in mobile web browsing, find a copy of Opera Mobile 9.5 build 1522!!

* Create a folder on your storage card where the cache files will go.* I chose \Storage Card\Program Files\Opera\cache4, but I don't think the folder structure or folder name matter.
* Open \Application Data\Opera\opera.ini in a text editor.
* In the [User Prefs] section, add the following line: Cache Directory4=[full path to folder on storage card].
* Save and close opera.ini.
* Restart Opera. Your cache is now being written to your storage card.


How do you do this? I mean it says Open \Application Data\Opera\opera.ini in a text editor. like what? mobile office?I tried that and I could not find any files under that name. Sorry. Could anyone give me a hand here? maybe be more specific... Thanks in advance
