And because you're going to ask: No, we don't have an official release date, but Aug. 12 is still the one floating around.

The pictures prove that the T-mobile vertion at least DOES NOT have the 3.5 mm jack on it. I hope the sprint one does at least.
I NEED this phone sooo band. ive had my dash for 2 years, its dying. i was thinking of getting a new phone back in june, maybe a BB. but then i thought i should see if tmobile is coming out with new better phones, Im so glad i did. they broke my heart pushing release from july 22 to august 12. but ill wait.
I'm pretty certain that the Sprint version actually has the 3.5mm jack. If you look at the flattened bottom section of the Telus model (confirmed with 3.5mm jack) you'll see it's got a wider flat lower ridge for the connections (extUSB & 3.5mm) then the unlocked GSM photos and the T-Mobile photos above. The Sprint model, based on the several leaked photos, has, similar to Telus, the widened flat lower back ridge indicating that it will have the 3.5mm. Check the photos carefully if you doubt me, but it looks promising!
It's just such a shame they didn't get UMA built into this fella. Kills it for me. Just too weak a network that TMO has. Sigh.

Could it be that because the tp2 isn't going to be a carrier exclusive, rather deployed on all carriers that this is the reason for the big delays in releasing it?
Rummors go back to March of a release date yet here we are late July, drooling and starving for this thing????
