Alltel Gets HTC PPC 6800

You can call it the Mogul, you can call it the UTStarcom XV6800, you can call it the Titan, or you can call it the PPC6800 — which is what Alltel settled on. Whatever you call it, it’s the premier slider Windows Mobile device right now - a title it will likely keep in the CDMA world for quite awhile (the AT&T Tilt will usurp it on GSM, natch). Alltel just snapped it up and so can you for $249 after rebates.

FCC Confirms: HTC Titan / XV6800 / PPC6800 Still on the Way

Leaked presentation slides, leaked pics, and leaked roadmaps are all well and good, but when the FCC approves a device, you can pretty much stop having doubts about whether or not a device is coming out. Engaget Mobile keeps a close eye on the FCC and it’s paid off - the HTC Titan (aka Verizon XV6800 aka Sprint PPC 6800) is coming and coming soon.

Verizon XV6800 Leaked

Engadget's cadre of elite leakers has come through again, this time with the US CDMA version of the HTC TyTn. Nice to see the upper-end CDMa smartphones finally dropping their antenna. Also nice to see the thumbwheel making a comeback on WM.
