AT&T Fall Roadmap

Yep, this is what it looks like: A roadmap for AT&T, snagged by the Boy Genius Report. We're expecting the Tilt 2, natch, seen here with its original "Fortress" codename.

Of course, the really juicy fruit here are the LG Monoco and HP iPAQ Obsidian, two phones we've been dying to get our hands on since their initial leaks. If the roadmap holds -- and we've got reason to believe it will -- we could see both of those phones by the holidays.

And not to be ignored as the Samsung Jack and Epix, which appear to be slated for updates to Windows Mobile 6.5

Possible pricing for AT&T Touch Pro 2, Touch Diamond 2 and Nüvifone G60

AT&T Touch Pro 2 and Touch Diamond 2

The AT&T news keeps on a'comin' this weekend. After getting an idea of when the HTC Touch Pro 2 (aka Tilt 2) may be released, and then seeing it show up in inventory, the Boy Genius Report now says it has pricing information for it, as well as a couple of other anticiapted phones. Let's do this the easy way:

  • Tilt 2: $299 after contract and $50 rebate; $499 retail.
  • Touch Diamond 2: Codenamed the Warhawk and already seen at the FCC, will be known as the Pure and will go for $199 after contract and $40 rebate. Retails for $349. Update: BGR's updated and it now appears that the Diamond 2, er, Pure will go for $149.99 after contract and $50 rebate. (See the pic here.) The retail price still stands (and is pretty darn good).
  • Garmin-Asus Nüvifone G60: It lives! And it'll cost $299.99 after contract and $100 rebate. Will retail for $549.99.

No word on release dates for the later two phones, but remember that we're expecting the Tilt 2 in about a month.

(And remember, folks, the above picture is just an early render of the Touch Pro 2 and Touch Diamond 2 on AT&T. We're actually expecting the Tilt 2 to look like this.)

'Tilt 2' - aka the Touch Pro 2 - seen on leaked AT&T pre-launch sheet (and maybe the Snap)

HTC Tilt 2 on AT&T Pre-launch sheet

When it comes to the HTC Touch Pro 2, the Verizon folks have been fed. The T-Mobile fans can taste it. And the Sprint survivors should see it any week now. But we've had nary a word from AT&T since we first saw that leaked render of the HTC Fortress.

Well, here's another pretty good sign that AT&T will follow up the Fuze with the Touch Pro 2, though it looks like it'll be going by another name. In this pre-launch lineup purloined by the Boy Genius Report, we clearly see two flavors of the HTC "Tilt 2" — one with camera, and one without.

So there you have it, folks. We had little doubt that AT&T would release the Touch Pro 2 — it's been a longtime fan of the HTC slider devices. BGR also believes that the HTC Pure mentioned here is the Snap, which is a good bet. Now let's get cracking on some release dates and price.

Touch Pro 2 for AT&T passes FCC

Touch Pro 2 for AT&T at the FCC

We've seen renders of the HTC Touch Pro 2 (aka Rhodium aka Fortress) destined for AT&T, and now comes word that it's passed FCC testing.

It's got all the goodies we've come to know of the Touch pro 2, including the 3.6-inch touchscreen at 480x800, Windows Mobile 6.1, aGPS, WiFi b/g, a 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR. The standard AT&T 3G bands (850MHz and 1900MHz) are, of course, present.

Now all we need are some leaked shots, release date and pricing. A slew of FCC information won't be unsealed until the end of September, so we might not see the Touch Pro 2 on AT&T until October at the earliest. But that's rampant speculation on our part, and stranger things have happened.

And, finally, renders of AT&T's Touch Pro 2 & Touch Diamond 2

AT&T Touch Pro 2 and Touch Diamond 2

Ask and ye shall receive, dear readers. While these are "just" renders and not the in-the-flesh mockups we've seen of the T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Touch Pro 2s, what we've got here are renders of what supposedly will be coming to AT&T, courtesy of Engadget.

The purloined spec slides are after the break, but everything's about what we've been told, save for launch dates, of course. And we'd expect the home buttons you see on here on the Touch Pro 2 (Fuze 2?) and Touch Diamond 2 to most likely be replaced by the Windows flag button. Also interesting is that AT&T finally may be going with the Diamond line after passing on the original iteration.

And in case there were any confusion that HTC phones get coolest code names out there, the Touch Pro 2's been dubbed the Fortress, and the TD2's the Warhawk.
