Review: Mobi Products Cradle for AT&T Tilt2

Mobi Products Cradle - Front View

Accessories for Windows Phones can be very generic or device specific. Bluetooth Headsets are one of those things that you can pretty much guarantee will work just as well no matter what device you’re using. Desktop Cradles on the other hand are one category of accessories that are device specific by necessity. I’ve already reviewed the Innodock Jr. from Seidio, but there are other options that may be a better option for your needs; such as Mobi Products’ Desktop Cradle for the AT&T Tilt2.

Battery Issues with Verizon Touch Pro2 6.5 Update

Verizon Logo

We’re hearing rumblings of people randomly experiencing excessive battery drain after upgrading their Verizon Touch Pro2 to the official 6.5 ROM. Depending on whom you believe the problems could be attributed to the automatic weather updates or the new radio ROM. While this isn’t affecting everyone, there are enough reports of people having issues that this is worth discussing.

Recommended solutions include turning off the weather updates, performing a hard reset, or re-flashing your device entirely.

Any Touch Pro2 users on Big Red apply the 6.5 update yet? Are you guys having issues with battery life? Have you found any fixes or workarounds? Discuss.

Thanks to John for the tip.

Review: Seidio Innocell Extended Battery for HTC Touch Pro2/Snap

Seidio Innocell Extended Battery - Installed

If you are rockin’ an HTC Touch Pro2 (or one of the many carrier variants), chances are you are a power user when it comes to Windows Phones. For myself, the Touch Pro2 is the perfect form factor for a Windows Phone. The massive high- resolution screen, spacious QWERTY keyboard, in a fairly thin phone is the perfect balance of features and portability.

When it comes to power users, there is one feature that we can’t seem to get enough of no matter what the specs are; and that is battery life. Traditionally, the quest for an extended battery meant compromises when it comes to portability because larger battery capacity meant larger physical size. Seidio’s Innocell Extended Battery comes in an OEM form factor that gives you extended battery life without adding bulk or requiring a replacement battery door for your device.

Review: Smartphone Experts Screen Protectors for HTC Touch Pro2

Posted on Thursday, Nov 12, 2009 by Tim Ferrill

SPE Screen Protectors - Product Packaging

I’m one of those people that made sure I hit my local AT&T store on October 18th to make sure I got my AT&T Tilt 2. There are so many things that make HTC’s Touch Pro2 devices great that I had to have one. One of those things is the screen. It’s just amazing, especially coming from the original AT&T Tilt. The downside of having that 3.6” WVGA flush mounted screen is that it gets scratched very easily, even through normal daily use. The answer to this problem is of course a screen protector such as the ones offered by Smartphone Experts.

Get the review after the jump.
