logo_vzw.gif A few days ago Microsoft announced RemoSync for Verizon wireless customers witch gives customers access to Microsoft Exchange. RemoSync provides access to Microsoft Exchange Servers making email, calendar and managing contacts a hundred times easier. All this easiness comes with a $10 fee per month. Good news is they say you don’t need a data plan. The bad news is if you don’t have a V CAST VPak, you will be charged for airtime or $1.99 per megabyte when downloading or using RemoSync. The application is said to come prepped on some devices that are Get it Now capable. Specs on RemoSync seem to indicate it's a full-on Exchange solution

Anyhow if you're on Verizon and looking for a hosted Exchange solution, it might work for you. Us, we're waiting for something a little more full-featured and direct from Microsoft. The fact that they're starting to really push hosted Exchange for small businesses gives us hope, but not quite as much hope as their acquisition of Sidekick and it's bevy of services.
